About us
Fonhapo is a federally mandated trust coordinated by SEDESOL (Ministry of Social Development), which operates a subsidy system catering to the domestic needs and demands of households living in patrimony poverty, making it possible for families to own a decent dwelling.
Fonhapo is part of the parastatal sector; its organization and operation are ruled by the Federal Law of Public Entities, published on May 14, 1986, and by the contract establishing the trust.
The Trust is the Federal Government through the Secretaría de Hacienda y Crédito Público (Ministry of Finance), and the Trustee is Banco Nacional de Obras y Servicios Públicos, SNC (Banobras), a Development Banking Institution.
What we do
In partnership with state housing agencies and municipal governments, Fonhapo serves the population in patrimony poverty and in need to improve, acquire, or build a home. We do this through a subsidy system (support), which contributes to consolidate a family patrimony.
